Alliance Forums began early: in 1996! In 1997, the Alliance conducted its first experiment in "remote participation" for the December 1997 World Alliance Assembly (Bertioga, Brazil; Algiers, Algeria; Bangalore, India; Roubaix, France; Kigali, Rwanda). Then the first moderated, multilingual, structured forums were started...
Forums are now commonplace, even though the moderated, structured, multilingual forums available in the Alliance remain unique. The Alliance for a Responsible, Plural and United World began making forums a means for continuous and productive communication as early as 1996.
