For a United Nations Army
One of the proposals of the "Military for a Sustainable Peace in
the World" workshop was the creation of a world force that could
replace the present Security Council.
The idea consists in delimiting 8 or 9 regions made up of several countries,
represented by one man, who would be the spokesman for the whole region
and no longer for one country.
The aim is to set up, in every sector, a preventive force that would be
operational within 24 hours in its own region. It would be then possible
to ban heavy weapons and eradicate massive destruction.
This organization would set forth international regulations that would
lay down the laws to be applied and would make it possible to designate
clearly those who infringe those rules.
