The
Proposals Booklets for the Alliance's Assembly We entered in the last stage of the development of proposals booklets for the 21th century. About fifteen proposals booklets are finished entirely (see below), and others will follow mid-November, until reaching a total of about sixty proposals booklets for the World Assembly of the Alliance, in December. This assembly will be an appropriate opportunity to share all of the work done since several months by workshops of the alliance and partner networks, as well as to "test" the interest that proposals put forward in proposals booklets will rise for participants coming from all regions of the world and all social or professional background, in particular those that were not so represented among the editors of these documents. The
edition of the proposals booklets can thus begin: the debate is launched
between the different publishers of proposals booklets on the first
texts, and the first proposals booklets of proposals entirely edited
and published in 6 languages and in 7 countries should begin to be available
at the end of the year or at the beginning of next year. The second
World Social Forum, at the end of January in Porto Alegre, will be the
opportunity of the public launching of the collection. The edition and
the publication will continue on a regular basis during the year 2002. THEMATIC
