The Transverses association addresses people and organizations who are concerned by the geopolitical situation in the world and who know that tourism as an activity can play an important role in North/South relations. This role can be positive if it contributes towards a sustainable development and creates situations of dialogue and sharing between the host and the guest. It can be negative if some are benefited at the expense of others.
Transverses has set up a documentation centre on these questions and their contradictions. It is connected to other similar organizations in the world. In France, it is an associate member of RITIMO (Third World Information Network) and in Europe of TEN (Tourism European network).
